Hi Hannis, I looked up The birth places of their children,first one born not far from Zhitomir,latter children were born in western region of Ukraine.Most people who immigrated to Kanada back then were from western region of Ukraine.Since the last 2 children were born in western part of Ukraine this is probably where they lived up till Emil immigrated to Kanada.If so I seriously doubt they were forced to go to Siberia during WW1, as the Austrians occupied the west part during beginning of the war,so that may be good news.I'll keep digging and see if i can find something.Ron
