I certainly cannot explain why Emanual would go by the nickname Emil or if he did. We had very little contact with the Eisbrenners in Michigan except by letter. I think I only remember meeting my aunt and uncle twice back in the 50s and once in 1967 when we traveled to Michigan. I also remember my parents visiting with the Magners when they lived in Winnipeg and know that Mrs. Magner was sister of my uncle so the family ties are definitely there.

I only have second hand info about the family except for what can be verified with the SGGEE databases. If you want to see it, it is probably best to do so by private email rather than in this forum. Feel free to contact me at [deleted]

In a previous posting I mentioned that the Eisbrenner's may have followed her brother Christof Frank to Michigan. That should have been her uncle Christof, not brother.
