I am from South Africa, so my English is better than my German ;)

I think your mother may be the answer to a lot of prayers, ma'am.

As far as I am aware my Great grandfather, Eckhardt was a German, but I am not sure about my great grandmother, Ida. They had 4 children: Eckhardt jnr (killed near France during WW II, Albertus (presumed dead/POW), Olga (she studied to be a Doctor before the war started) and then the youngest son, whom I am the granddaughter of.

Ma'am, I have many questions and if your mom can still remember the Kwitt family, I would appreciate it greatly if you can email me directly: I can then send a photo of Oma Ida and we can see if it is the same woman.
