On one of these files it states that Ernst was "verschleppt 1941". I have read that this may mean he was falsely accused of crimes and kidnapped during the Stalin era, and he or his family were forced out of their home.

The other EWZ file has basic birth information about Michael and Emilie. I am now attempting to order these EWZ files from the British Columbia, Canada archives. The family line is now:

Michael Meister: born in 1851, Poland.
Emilie Badke: born in 1853, Poland.

Children born:
30th July, 1871 - Gottlieb born in Segenthal.
24th Oct. 1873 - Julianna in Segenthal.
20th Jan 1877 - Friedrich in Segenthal.

5th Sept. 1879 - Wilhelm born in Segenthal: Wife is Wilhelmine Waldemann (born 25th September 1895 in Alexanderdorf). Children are Ernst & Richard born in Segenthal "Odessa", it is probably instead Volyn.

15 Mar. 1882 - Adolf in Segenthal: Wife is Pauline Wendling or "Wentland", born in 1893 Poland. Children are Reinhold Daniel Meister & Roene Dan Meister, born in Chicago, USA.

28 Oct. 1890 - Daniel born in Swel (Zviahel). Had 3 wives: (1st) Amalie Lentz, born in Wondorf, Russian Empire. (2nd) Wanda Reimann, born in Drogusz, Poland. (3rd) Amelia Behnke, born in Chodecz, Poland. Children (with 1st wife) Martha Olga Meister, (with 2nd wife) Herbert Arnold Meister & Elsie Elaine Meister, all born in Chicago, USA.

10 Sept. 1892 - Emil in Zviahel. Wife: Elizabeth McGahan, born 10 Apr 1902 in Scotland. Children: Leonard & Lewis, both born in Chicago, USA.

Later I will try to get the names of their Godfathers from all of their baptismal records. Maybe they are mentioned somewhere else online or on this forum, it is nice to know about their community.
