Based on the new information Irene provided, a search on ShtetlSeeker reveals that Stovpin (Stowpin) is a variant spelling for Stolpin. This place listed by ShtetlSeeker:

is not the one you seek because it is over 150 miles from Kiew. However, it seems to verify that Stowpno / Stopwne / Stopna / Stopnia are all variant spellings of the same place.

My guess is that the Stolpno which Irene refers to at the end of her message is the correct one. The bad news is that I have not been able to find it on any list that provides a specific location. I will keep looking by browsing the maps which I have for that region.

Meine Vermutung geht dahin, daß das Stolpno, auf das Irene am Ende ihrer Ausführung verweist, das richtige ist. Die schlechte Nachricht ist, daß ich nicht in der Lage war, es in irgendeiner Liste zu finden, die eine genaue Lokalisierung dafür liefern würde. Ich werde weiter danach suchen in den Karten, die ich für dieses Gebiet habe.
