if you read the other articles of our forum you'll find the solution. Our forum is for German speaker at first only. If we receive requests about families or places in former Volhynia (Ukraine today), then we are trying to translate them.

For example: You want to know more about your surname Maevski.

From Finnland wrote us Iouri Maevski and his grandfather came from the region of Grodno. It was an answer for a question about the village Tschollo in the Gouvernement Grodno (former Volhynia) and I wrote him that in the same region "Malewskaja Wolost" was a name for a Volost too.
