Hello, I’m Evelyn Schiewe, Waldino Schiewe’s daughter, Herbert Schiewe and Carolina Stefanus’s son. Herbert was the son of Hermann Schiewe and Emilie Pahl (I think), and Hermann was the son of Karl Schiewe and Helena Krampitz (I think, I’m not sure about the women’s names)

We own a document (which is a photocopie) that it seems to be an authorization to get married. Karl Schiewe and Helena Krampitz, authorized their son Hermann to marry Emilie Pahl, daughter of Karl Pahl and Wilhelmine Sirahw. (I attached the document)

We know that Herbert Schiewe (my father’s father), was born in Wolynien, 10th November 1898 and that he went to Brazil when he was about 17 years old, between 1914 and 1915. His family was Baptist.

He got married with Carolina Stefanus (Stefanski) in 1917 and they had 11 children, three passed away as babies and 8 survived.

Carolina Stefanus was born in Wolynien, as well, on 20th January 1902. We think she travelled to Brazil when she was about 8 years old. Her family was Lutheran.

Herbert and Caroline children are named below in bold fond with their birth dates (all of them are deceased except for Waldino Schiewe), their spouses, next to them with their marriage dates the ones we know, at least.

Gertrude Schiewe 20th April – Alfredo Bubans

Edwin Schiewe – Irma Schneider

Fridolín Schiewe 04th May 1935 – Marta Eichler

Waldino Schiewe 26th June 1942 – Gertrudis Krämer 24th July 1943 – Marriage: 6th October 1967

Albino Schiewe 21st March 1945 – Elvira Ikert

All of Herbert Schiewe and Caroline Stafanus children were born in Brazil and in 1945 they all came to Argentina. Even the older ones that were already married.

My father Waldino Schiewe is the last of Herbert’s children to be alive, and he would like to know what happened to his relatives once they got separated after their arrival to Brazil… He met a couple of his uncles and aunts, but he would like to know about the rest. We know that Hermann Schiewe came to Brazil and had three boys and three girls, the following are the names we know of:

Richard Schiewe
Olga Schiewe
Anna Schiewe
Unfortunately we don’t know the name of the other daughter.
