My Arnold line from Hesse were also co-founders of Gorodok of the Belowesch in 1766; and later generations migrated in 1832 to co-found daughter colonies in the Grunau/Mariupol, and in 1878 my great grandfather Johann Heinrich Christian Arnold and family; along with other relations (Holderbein, Hahn, Seel, Dell, Hoffmann, Schwarz) migrated from Belowesch and Gorodok to co-founder the village of Kronental (Deutsch-Chaginsk) in the North Caucasus. My grandfather Johann Ludwig Arnold moved the family to Lydiard Saskatchewan Canada in 1910, then to Fresno California USA in 1921.

I have been doing extensive Belowesch Colonies Church Book (birth death, marriage) extracts for all surnames associated with the five villages of the Belowesch for the available years 1840-1885, and will soon start the same for the Grunau/Mariupol for the available years 1833-1885.

What is desperately needed is census/Church Book (birth death, marriage) data for the Belowesch Colonies for the years 1809-1840 and prior; Karl Stumpp's book only lists the 1807 and 1809 census (Revision Lists#.

Any information #preferably in English) for the Belowesch Colonies would bee deeply appreciated.
