Gustav Brandt Jr. is 1883 and is the brother of August 1875 my x3 Grandfather, there father is Gustav Brandt 1830/1840 who came to Volhynia with five other Brandts in the Prussia migration, I haven’t found their records of birth but it’s not Ukraine. And I have been able to align the five Brandt’s in this Oblast as family yet but I do assume it is possible.

Was your Brandt family sent to the Omsk work camp 1930’s in Northen Kazakhstan if so this may make you Family if the exportation of Gustav Brandt Jr. effected you, because the U.S.S.R shot Gustav and his other brother Rudolph, for them bothe being in the Ukrainian Insurgency Army. So that did effect family until 1991 in Ukraine.

It’s possible that Gustav Brandt Sr. Is your Grand Uncle so I will keep poking around for information on Arthur. Let me know what you think, having more context on the exportation of Gustav Brandt.
