So nice to connect with you. Nelli is Leopold's daughter (wife of Glen Richardson), my connection is through Nelli's brother, Roland. Roland's son and my daughter are a couple.

The family has some information on Leopold's parents (Eduard & Emma) and their movements around the war which I am willing to share. To start, Leo & his (future) father-in-law, Arthur Domke, were recorded as "Foreigners and German Persecutees" in Bleckede prior to 1947. It was here that Leo met his wife Martha Domke. Their eldest son, Valentin, was born in Bleckede just before the family came to Canada.

Someone else mentioned some information on their movements as well as Leopold's military records. Do you have anything that you are willing to share?

I've done a fair amount of genealogy work but nothing in Germany or what is now Ukraine - and must use GOOGLE to translate - so I'm rather lost.
