If you have a marriage certificate, it should not only indicate a place name but also a parish or government district name. This would help us to get closer to the location.

Is your certificate in Russian Cyrillic or in German? I have seen examples where the Cyrillic has not been correctly transliterated and therefore causes major problems for the person trying to trace the information. If this is a possibility in your case, then please send me a scan so that we can see if there are additional clues.
