At the Pixel site, you can also do searches using http://www.odessa3.org/search.html.

There are many spelling variants for Tiefenbach so instead I seached for the mother's surname, Klohn. The couple was married in 1862 and lived for a number of years at Friedrichsdorf / Solomka. They then moved to Marianka / Marjanowka where their youngest son, Robert, was born. They probably did not move far but there are still 3 possible Marjanowka in the region.

By investigating the villages for births both before and after Robert, we find these 3 together - Mariendorf (Puchowo), Marianka, and Aleksandria. We can therefore say with virtual certainty that the correct one is about 12 km NE of Rowno on the south side of the Horyn River.

Go to http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/EART/soviet_maps.html and click on Ukraine, then Rivne (Rowno), then #41.

Go to horizontal line 22 and vertical line 52 and you will see where the railway line crosses the river. Marianka (Marjanowka) was south of the river and west of the railway.

You can also see their original home on the same map. Go to horizontal line 34 and vertical line 46 and just below you will see Solomka / Соломка.

Because your family originally lived in Friedrichsdorf, you can be almost certain that they are related to the Tiefenbach family that settled in Niverville, Manitoba, Canada and in Berrien County, Michigan, USA.
