Thank you for your efforts in trying to find the correct villages.

The location for the village must be taken in context of the known German settlements and the parish in which documents are located. One often also has to use historical maps as some of these villages no longer appear on modern maps.

For example, if all one knows is that their origin was Zapust, Volhynia, there would be a problem because there are several Zapust within that historical boundary. However, if one finds a record for this family in the Rozyzczce parish books, then we can readily assume that it is the one you describe.

As for Koniakow, we know from historical maps that this was a village that existed a short distance NW of Rozyzczce along the main road. The Konakovo you found is clearly NOT the correct location as it is hundreds of km to the east.
