Has anyone out there ever heard of the Bessarabian bandit that went by the name of Toppletock? I heard stories of him from my father, read one story in the Bessarien Kalander (1960's). My father said his wife, born Littau, wanted to be hanged off her large white horse named "Buck", would have easily escaped if they let her on the horse.
