Hi Robert,
I know it has been 19 Years from your Post but Maybe I can help! My Family still named Oswald is from Kochanow (German Name: Erdmannsweiler) (near Lodz) as well. My grandfather was born there before he moved to Germany. He spoke polish fluently but never used it for the last 30 Years of his life or so. He moved to Germany to Ostenholz in the Lüneburger Heide and lived there for the rest of his life. My Great Grandfathers Name was Julius and his wife was named Natalia as far as I now. Do you maybe have more information about my family?
