Hello everyone!
I am looking any info about my great grandfather, Fridrich August Kaminski. He was born in Staritzkoje (Wilhelmswalde) (Byshevskaya volost, Kievsky district) in 1897. Not sure about familyname, maybe he changed it. Will be happy about any info about him!

if your great grandfather was Lutheran you can access the birth records from Kiev parish online. This book is written in Russian and names in German: https://wolhynien.de/records/Kiew.htm
Not sure about familyname, maybe he changed it.
Why would he? Is that family lore?
German equivalent of Kaminski could be Steinke.

I wrote to Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine, they did not find any birth records. Will try to find it myself, thanks for the link!
About family name there are some rumors from relatives, but nothing concrete.
In household book (in Russia was this books, containing all people who lived in house or owned it) there are record, that he was born in Ukraine, Byshevskaya volost, Kievsky district, and something that looks like Staritzkoje.
For now i'm trying to restore record about marriage from archives, still no answer. They even lost record about birth of my grandfather, need to restore it in court.

I found Steinke Friedrich from link above! Same age date, 28.01.1897, father name August, and there are place of birth wrote someting like Staritzkoje

Wenn du die Kirchenbücher durchsuchst, wirst du sicher noch mehr Kinder finden.
Ea gab viele Familien STEINKE, die im Kirchspiel Kiew lebten, darunter Andreas STEINKE & Rosine/Rosalie JESKE (Heirat 1874), ihre Kinder wurden in Wilhelmswalde / Staritzkoje geboren. Wie sie mit August Steinke verwandt waren, läßt sich aber leider nicht sagen.
In der Datenbank der SGGEE kannst du im Index nach den Familien suchen. Bei "Parish" musst du "Kie" eingeben, damit du nur die Namen aus dem Kirchspiel Kiew angezeigt bekommst.
