Liebe Mitforscher,

auch wir Deutschen möchten uns aktiv an der Begründung von Gruppen bei GedMatch beteiligen, insofern diese noch nicht durch unsere liebe Forscherkollegen in Übersee belegt sind. Der Anbieter hat inzwischen die Möglichkeit zu spezialisierten Gruppen eingerichtet, wie sie bei FTDNA bereits bestanden. Daher nach Möglichkeit keine Konkurrenz sondern Bündelung unserer Engagements.

Eine dieser neuen Gruppen wird das sogenannte Mittelpolen betreffen. Daher die Region grob zwischen Kalisch, Radom und Warschau mit Lodz in der Mitte. Es geht im Endeffekt um die deutschen Kolonisten und Handwerker die oftmals eigentlich sehr enge familiäre Verbindungen und große Familien hatten. Viele von Ihnen gingen nach Nord- und Südamerika, und zuvor nach Wolhynien, Lublin und Russland.

Dear researchers,

we Germans too would like to actively participate in the creation of groups at GedMatch, insofar as these are not yet supported by our dear research colleagues overseas. The provider has now set up the possibility of specialized groups, as they already existed at FTDNA. Therefore, if possible, not competition, but pooling our commitments.

One of these new groups will concern the so-called central Poland. Hence the region roughly between Kalisch, Radom and Warsaw with Lodz in the middle. Ultimately, it is about the German colonists and craftsmen who often had very close family connections and large families. Many of you went to North and South America, and previously to Volhynia, Lublin and Russia.
