I have distant Herzog cousins and some were born in Mariendorf, Wladimir-Wohlynsk. Parents were Gottfried Herzog 1834-1885 and Anna Christine Benke born 1819?-1887. Children:

Andrea herzog born 1871 in Kleszczow, Confirmation Bogumielow
Gottfried born 1876 Dombrowka
Ludwig born 3 Oct 1878 in Sadobrowa (he married my 2nd great Aunt Emilie Belzer/Pelzer)
Ferdinand born 4 Sept 1880 Bogomilow
Carl 18 Sep 1881 Mariendorf
Eleanore born 1883 Bogumilow
Pauline 1884 Bogumilow

Not sure if there is a connection to your Herzog clan.
