greetings to Argentinia - thats a little world with this internet . I received your document today and here are the results:

It was the first letter of the place name. In your document is it written with the polish letter "Ż" (a point in the head of the letter "Z"). In the Lutheran parish Tuczyn was a village Zukiv or Żukow 4 miles North-East of the town Slawuta. You can compare this region as an overview with Jerry's map http://www.sggee.org/VolGub10.pdf. The place you can read on the map index page http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/digkonyv/topo/3felmeres.htm and here search the map Starokonstantinow, 1889 (hint text on your mouse pointer), it is between the towns Osztroh and Zsitomir.
