From documents we know that your family lived in the Dubno region of Volhynia and we also know that this is where Kocin is located.

It is certainly possible that the family was from Posen province before that but I do not think they would have been from the town of Koschin in that region. I do not have any experience with research in the Posen area. I am sorry but cannot offer advice for research there.
