Below is the information I have on the Ulmers and the answers to your questions:

1. Katarina Ulmer was born a Ulmer on about 1867 in Poland and died very young in Perbohnen on February 19, 1911. I never heard that she was a widow and she was Joseph first wife (he married twice more).

2. Katarina and Joseph had the following living (not counting Johann) children:

a. Friedrich born 1889 in Wolhynien, married in 1911, moved to Oregon/California
b. Heinrich (Henry) born 1892 in Wolhynien, moved to Wisconsin
c. Anna born 1896 in Wolhynien, moved to Wisconsin
d. Christine (my mother) born on June 8, 1899 in Bresalup, finally moved to Oregon
e. Martha born 1901 in Wolhynien, moved to Wisconsin

Joseph Ulmer had the following siblings according to my aunt Martha Ulmer in Wisconsin:

1. Christian born near Warsaw/Lodz, Poland
2. Friedrich born near Warsaw/Lodz, Poland
3. Albert born near Warsaw/Lodz, Poland
4. Hedwich born near Warsaw/Lodz, Poland
