My great great grandmother was a Luise (we don't know her maiden name) who married a Riewe.

Do you have any more information about the Luise Bejenke, such as what her husband's name was?

Erst vor kurzem schaute ich in die Bejenke Ahnenforschung...und sah Deine liebe Antwort. Vielen Dank dafuer. Ich schrieb auch einen Brief an Dich, hoffentlich bist Du der Klaus welcher in Muenchen lebt? Wir haben sicherlich unseren Urururgrossvater Johann Bejenke und Ferdinand Bejenke als Vorfahren.
Die Genes sind interessant und werden mehr und mehr wichtig....es gibt einen Artikel im Internet ueber CCR5-Delta 32....10 % aller Europaer bekommen nie Aids, wenn ein Vorfahrer die Pest ueberstanden hat....man kann es auch ins deutsche uebersetzen...hochinteressant.
Ich werde mein Stammbuch suchen muessen,welches zu gut verpackt ist im Augenhblick...mein Haus wird innen total saniert....und dann hoffentlich verkauft....wir verkaufen Haeuser hier oefter wie in Dtschl....ungefaehr alle 7 Jahre...andere Laender, andere Sitten.

Mein GV Reinhold Bejenke hatte 6 Kinder:
Otto (1899-1973), Stefa(!902-1967), Karl( 1904-1990), Paul (1905-???), Alexander(1907-1976), Ferdinand (!911-1979)
Mein Vater war Karl Bejenke.
Den Lebenslauf von meinem (unserem?) Ururgroßvater Jan/Johann B.habe ich im handschriftlichen Original (28.April 1876), ebenso seine Urkunde aus dem Militärdienst von 1831. Deine Zeitungsausschnitte sind wohl aus der Vertriebenenzeitung "Weg und Ziel"?
Einen weiteren Otto, ausser meinem Onkel, finde ich nicht.
Wer war denn Dein( ? liebe Cousine ?) Grossvater??
Auf weitere Infos bin ich gespannt!

Es war so interessant, ueber Ihre Bejenke Ahnenforschung zu lesen.
Mein UrUrUr (?)Grossvater war auch Johann Bejenke, geb. 1797.

Mein verstorbener Vater, Otto Bejenke, erzaehlte mir, dass der Name von dem Johann veraendert wurde, damals, als er noch Soldat in der polnischen Armee fuer 10 Jahre (zwangsweise)gedient hatte. Er wollte befoerdert werden, und deshalb wurde unserer Name Behnke (Benke??)etwas mehr auf dem polnischen veraendert.
Ich besitze zwei Fotokopien eines Zeitungsausschnitt (?) ueber seinen Lebenslauf,
Gruender deutscher Kolonien im Lodzer Raum
Von 1819 bis 1832 Soldat in der Festung Zamosc.

Ich wuerde mich riesig freuen, etwas von Ihnen zu hoeren; ich wanderte in 1959 nach Neu Seeland aus, und habe leider keine Verwandte von den Bejenke's kennengelernt.

offensichtlich sind wir miteinander verwandt. Meine Großmutter war Leokadia (genannt Lotte) Knull. Tante Berta (Berta Maischatz) lebte auch hier in der Nähe. Emma Runge und Olga Stark habe ich selbst nicht mehr kennen gelernt, aber die lebten auch hier, in Wetzlar.

leider kann ich kein Englisch, doch die Heirat des Alexander Bejenke
kann ich bestätigen. Er heiratet am 24.11.1909 Riewe, Stephanie Martha.

As you know I'm searching for descendants of Aleksander Bejenke and it is very surprising for me that the children of Ferdinand and Wilhelmina listed by you are totally different.

Do you think that it is possibile to collaborate in order to find descendants od Aleksander?? He left some property in POland and if his family will not be find everything will pass on the goverment.

My name is Maciej Sawosz I live in Poland near Łódź and I am grandsoon of Herta Sawosz (Bhenke) we are trying to found any documents about Ernest and Elza Bhenke who were living in Kolonia Pożdżenice. Especially I am interested if anybody could help me or give any directions where can I found such information since land and mortgage register is partially destroyed during 2WW ? As far as I know my grandmother have had sisiter Erna Behnke who have go back to germany after war. My grandmother have stayed and married Tadeusz Sawosz and they have two childeren. It s good to hear that we belong to such huge family.

I've done some research in the Piotrkow Trybunalski Archive (in the bithr registers of Pozdzenice beetween 1874 -1895). It is very intersting because i found some information relative to Aleksander Bejenke and his family.

The registers show that Ferdinand and Wilhelmina Bejenke between 1874 and 1895 had 8 children:

1. Emma nr 23/1874
2. Maria Eliza nr 17/1876
3. Wanda Zofia nr 13/1878
4. ALEKSANDER nr 23/1880
5. Eustaw Zygmunt nr 43/1881
6. Luiza Herietta nr 50/1882
7. Edmund Jan nr 56/1885
8. Leokadia Zofia nr 12/1888

Then as i wrote before i got the marriage date of Aleksander Bejenke. He got married with Stefanie Martha Riewe (born 1890 in Dabrowka) on 1919 in Petrikau.

I'm looking for children of Aleksander and whether it is impossible, of living children of his brothers and sisters...

Is is very importand because Aleksander Bejenke is still owner of some property in Poland and i'm searching his hereditants...

I will try to do some research in the archives in Łódź. What's interesting is the fact that Aleksander Bejenke got married (I suppose for the second time) with Stefanie Martha Riewe in 1919 (act in Petrikau - Piotrków Trybunalski) so the Bejenke and Riewe families had to be very close...

I got an information that alleged son of Aleksander: Ernst moved after the war to the Germany and is still living (ca 100 years old). He lives in Staufenberg, Niedersachsen.

my grandfather Reinhold Bejenke was born in Pozdzenice too, Sept. 23 1865.
He had 8 brothers and sisters: Herrmann, Helene, Wilhelm, Amalie (Riewe), Marie (Liebert), Alexander, Gustav, Luise (Riewe).I don´t know the dates of their births.
So it is very probable, that your Aleksander B. could be a brother of my grandfather. The name of Alexander seems to be common in my family. I had an uncle of this name (uncle Olu)
The father of Reinhold , etc was Ferdinand Bejenke (1840 -1911);
mother Wilhelmine Ludwig (1840 -1926). On the other hand it was well known, that Ferdinand B. had several brothers, also living in or near Pozdzenice.
Their father was Johann Bejenke (1797 -1883)
His father was Martin Behnke (vel Boehnke)Dates unknown.

As the name "Bejenke" was introduced with Johann,it seems as if everybody carrying this name is his descendent. But also the families "Behnke" or "Benke", with polish history or ancestors belong to this group.

I"m looking for all relatives of Aleksander Bejenke, who lived in Pożdzenice near Zelów. He was born ca 1880 and as far i'm concerned had children: Anna, Eugenia, Amelia, Ernest (Ernst). It is possible that they was connected to your family...Do you know anything??
