Da Karl Fengler im Dezember 1885 geboren wurde ist der Kirchenbucheintrag sehr wahrscheinlich als Nachtrag im Jahr 1886 erfolgt.
Der Ort Sdolbunow / Zdolbuniv gehörte zu der Zeit zu Shitomir.

Es gibt keine Kirchenbücher aus der Zeit von 1885 bis 1900 :-( :-( . Daher wirst du auch keinen Eintrag finden. Siehe Übersicht Kirchenbücher Shitomir

I'm stumped.
I'm looking for a birth record for Karl August Fengler.
He was born in Zdolbuniv in 1885. Lutheran (according to the EWZ).
On SGGEE site I found a record of his brother's birth in 1888 in Rozhyshche. It also lists his parents' marriage in 1890 and his sister's birth in 1890.
According to various sources, Zdolbuniv was part of Zhitomir or Rivne. The links are to archives in Russia in St. Petersburg, Poland, or Ukraine.
I couldn't find a record on FamilySearch.
Please, tell me where to search. How can I determine the parish at that moment (1885 +/-)? Or should I check everything?
