Thank you so much for your help, and the links you've sent! You have unknowingly answered another question of mine. In my great-grandmother's emigration record it says her next of kin, her paternal grandfather, was living in Kadobyszcze. Which as it turns out happens to be directly north of Kolbanja.

Is there any possibility in finding birth, marriage, death records for this area in question. If so, how would I go about doing this research?

Das Zertifikat ist auf Polnisch geschrieben. Der Geburtsort ist wahrscheinlich:
Kolonie Kolbanja, Powiat Kostopol

Der Ort existiert nicht mehr. Er lag etwa 15 Kilometer östlich von Kostopol.

Auch Lucinow existiert nicht mehr. Dort gab es eine Baptistengemeinde.

My great-grandmother had a birth certificate reissued in 1925, a month before her emigration to Canada.

The only information I've been able to find regarding Lucinow is this webpage. http://wiki.wolhynien.net/index.php/Baptisten-Gemeinde_Lucinow Her birth certificate has the same stamp as shown in this webpage from 1934, and it is signed by M Jeske who I am assuming to be Martin Jeske the pastor for Lucinow at the time.

My great-grandmothers birth certificate contains this line, which I have been told is where she was born. I would greatly appreciate it someone could translate this line for me, and tell me if it is indeed a location.

As well I would like to know where Lucinow was located, and if it still exists today.
